Eubanks teaches English at CHS and serves in multiple leadership roles in the building.
Her philosophy of teaching is student-centered.
Of teaching she said, “I think the true challenge of teaching lies with figuring out how to get each student to willingly partake in the learning process, because a child will never learn something he or she won’t do.
“I do not measure my success by my test scores – I measure my success by the individual growth in my kids, and when you do this, test score happen…”.
This philosophy translates into an energy and passion that makes a difference in the lives of her students.
A former student said of Eubanks: “She is one of the hardest teachers I ever had and she pushed me way past what I thought I was capable of. I thinks that is what makes her a good teacher, she’ll see stuff in a kid that the kid doesn’t see in his or her self, then she won’t stop until the kids sees it too. She gives kids a confidence in their own abilities that you cannot put a price on.”
