Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. the “Me and My House” series continues with seventh and eighth grade students at Coble school preaching at the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1411 Rome Rd., with an evening meeting the same night at 6 p.m. at Coble School to conclude the series, based on Joshua 24:15, “Choose you this day whom you shall serve…but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” The public is invited to attend.
Zumba for Storm Relief, come join the fun of Zumba with Elsa Gonzalez and other instructors on Saturday, February 23 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Sonoraville Recreation Center. Donate $5 and a non-perishable food item. Call 706-629-9101 for more information.
There is a Georgia Transplant Foundation Fundraiser at the Oostanaula School Community Club on Satur-day, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. for Amanda Burgin. Please come help a local resident of Gordon County to raise money that she will need after her Double Lung Transplant to pay for the Anti-Rejection Medication. The fund-raiser will include a 410 Shotgun Raffle at $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. Jurusalem Ridge band, a blue grass, country gospel band will perform live. Dinner plates for $6 will include ham, bbq, fried chicken, pota-toe salad, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, macaroi and cheese, law and many types of deserts. There will be an auction with clocks, misc. items, door prizes, grab bags for girls and boys and a cake walk.
