  • The New Horizons Book Club will meet on Thursday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. at the Fairmount City Library. This month's selection is Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine. New members and guests are always welcome. Call the library at 706-337-3110 if you need more information.

  • The Gordon County Nutrition Site would like to invite seniors ages 60 and over to come to the senior center, located at 150 Cambridge Court Monday – Friday at 11:30 a.m. for a nutri-tious meal.   • The Calhoun Pregnancy Center Inc., located on Peters Street at the four-way stop signs, offers free pregnancy test kits, counseling by lay counselors trained in Biblical counseling, and referrals to other agencies. It also offers pregnancy help services including maternity and baby clothes, diapers, and other baby care items and furniture as needed and available. The center will be open on Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and after-hours appointments are available by prior arrangements.   • The Calhoun Adult Learning Center has so much to offer. Make the center your window to the world. Free study programs are offered during the day and evening sessions.   • Bethlehem Baptist Church is having a Spring Revival beginning Monday, April 9 through Friday, April 13. The Church is located on Highway 41 North between Resaca and Dalton. The services will begin each night at 7 p.m. Rev. Chris Holman will be bringing the message and there will be spirit filled singing nightly. All are welcome to attend.

  • Plainview Baptist Church is having a Spring Revival beginning Monday, April 9 through Friday, April 13. The services begin at 7:30 p.m. each night, and special singers have been invited. The church is located off Plainview Road. The Pastor is Mark Harris, and Rev. Curtis Easley will be the visiting pastor. The pastor and members of Plainview Baptist cordially invite all to attend.
