  • Ivan Parker will be performing at the Dandee Denson Auditorium in downtown Summerville on Friday, March 2., at 7 p.m. to benefit Hope Rebirth Homeless Shelter, a newly established and valuable resource in Chattooga County. The benefit is to raise funds for the completion of the required Fire Alarm System and other needs at the shelter. This must be done before the shelter can be opened for residency. Hope Rebirth is located just off Highland Avenue in the old N. Summerville Elementary School. There is also a thrift store located in the back of the building. All proceeds from this store go to the shelter. It is open every Fri-day and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets for the Concert are $15 in advance and $17 at the door for the concert and may be purchased at the following locations: Mason’s Funeral Home, Tad’s Quick Lube, Twist and Shake Shop, Triangle Hardware in Trion and at Hope Rebirth.   • Church of God of the Union Assembly, located across from the Calhoun Wal-mart, is hosting a revival Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Rev. Jason Bell and Corey Cassell will be speaking. There will be special singing. Everyone is invited.

  • February 17 – March 14, Middle School Art Exhibit in the galleries at the Harris Arts Center 212 South Wall Street, Calhoun, GA. Admission is Free.

  • The Calhoun Unity Group of Narcotics Anonymous meets at Heritage Baptist Church on Curtis Parkway and at Friendship Baptist Church at 452 W. Line St. The meeting times and dates are as follows: Monday at noon at Friend-ship; Tuesday 7 p.m. at Heritage; Wednesday at 7p.m. at Friendship; Friday at 7 p.m. at Heritage.
