Dodd presents senior recital Nov. 21
Jayme Marcella Dodd will present her senior recital Saturday, Nov. 21. The recital will be pre-sented at 7:30 p.m. in the Falany performing Arts Center at Reinhardt College in Waleska.
Jayme will graduate from Reinhardt College with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in May 2010. She is a member of the Deans’ list and is the recipient of the Reinhardt Murray Music scholarship. She placed third in the State 2009 National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Vocal competition in her division and performed at Reinhardt’s 125th celebration.
She is a member of Alpha Chi Academic Honor Society, Vice President of Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society, past president and current treasurer of Reinhardt’s Collegiate Music Teachers National Association (CMTNA) and a member of Reinhardt’s Collegiate Music Educator’s National Conference (CMENC). Jayme is the director of the North Georgia Home-School children’s choir, a student conductor for the Reinhardt College Concert choir, and a member of the Reinhardt Chamber Choir.
Her recital will include vocal selections composed by Purell, Verdi, Bellin, Debussy, Strauss, Argento, and Puccini. Jayme’s vocal coach is Dr. Marilee David, Associate Professor of music at Reinhardt College.
Jayme is the daughter of Jim and Joy Dodd and the sister of Marilyn Dodd Coats. She is a mem-ber of Ranger Baptist Church.
