Gordon County Chamber of Commerce President Jimmy Phillips has announced that Sue Ellen Harbour Clyatt has joined the organization as its director of Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“Sue Ellen is going to be a real asset to the Chamber, coming to us with years of experience in sales, marketing and promotions,” he said.

A native of Calhoun, Clyatt recently returned to Gordon County after years in Valdosta, Ga. and Nashville, Tenn. Her experience includes working in sales and promotions in radio and television. Sue Ellen produced and hosted her own mid-day weekly television show “Southern Lifestyles” and went on to manage WFXU in Valdosta. After moving to Atlanta, she worked for the marketing company, Grey Global, Atlanta.

Clyatt will be responsible for increasing tourism efforts on behalf of Calhoun and Gordon County. She will support the Chamber’s CVB Committee and will work closely with the hospitality industry.
