Mayor Jimmy Palmer recently met with residents at Morning Pointe Assisted Living to proclaim the week of September 11 – 17 National Assisted Living Week. Palmer urged everyone to visit Morning Pointe to learn more about assisted living services and how they benefit the community. Pictured with the mayor are residents Winona Brooks, Alma Harbin, Reva Cook, Martha Hopper, Coelien Jones, Ruth Holcomb, Nellie Parks, Sylvia Crider along with Executive Director Derek Dickard and Assistant Director Jan Hough.
This year, National Assisted Living Week begins on the 10th anniversary of the 2001 Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
