The three suspects immediately started chasing him and tackled him from behind, took his wallet from his left front pocket, and ran south toward Pine St.

“It doesn’t appear he was injured,” said Lt. Detective Tony Pyle of the Calhoun City Police Department. “He didn’t have to go to the hospital.”

Rojas reported one of the suspects wore a black hooded sweatshirt, another wore a red long sleeve thermal underwear type shirt and the third had on a dark grey shirt with black lines on it. Rojas also described the subjects as having short dreads.

The stolen wallet is described as black leather with the word “Boss” on it. The contents of the wallet at the time it was taken was $22, a social security card, birth certificate and a Georgia identification card.

Currently no suspects have been named at this time, but an investigator has been assigned to the case, according to Pyle.
