Former resident, Joe Bell, makes a big name for himself in the Information Technology (IT) world.

Bell graduated from Calhoun High School in 1993. He then did his undergraduate work in Psychology at Lagrange College, and then received his Masters in Applied Psychology from the University of Georgia.

Bell explains that he went to college playing basketball, and his original plan was to get a Doctorate in Applied Psychology and become a college professor and coach.

He said his planned changed after he got his Masters.

Bell explains how he fell into the realm of IT by accident by landing a couple of big jobs in the IT field after finishing his schooling.

After doing extremely well in these positions, he said he decided since he was a young guy with no wife or children he might as well open his own company.

He opened the company, Resolution Technologies, in March of 2009 in Atlanta.

Atlanta Business Chronicle recently labeled Resolution Technologies as a “Pacesetter.”

The company ranked number two out of the top 50 fastest growing companies in all of Metro Atlanta in 2009-2012, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle chooses the rankings for these companies based on revenue growth and employee growth over three years, according to Bell

According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, Resolution Technologies has seen notable growth with revenues surging 1,955 percent from 2009 to 2010 and 157 percent from 2010 to 2011.

Resolution Technologies started out with only two employees when it was consummated in 2009, and now employees over 100 people, according to Bell.

As of now the company has one office in Atlanta, but Bell said they have consultants in ten different states.

Resolution Technologies is a “full service information-technology (IT) staffing firm,” said Atlanta Business Chronicle.

According to Bell Resolution Technologies operates by giving companies contract, contract-to-permanent and direct permanent placement for its clients. These employees do anything from infrastructure and network solutions to management and executive level leadership.

“We save you valuable time interviewing by providing pre-screened, committed candidates who have the skills you desire, fit within your salary range, and understand your objectives and expectations,” according to the companies website.

The company has big plans for the future, according to Bell; they plan on continuing the growth and opening more offices and having a presence in over 40 states.

“I didn’t imagine the success on this level and growing this fast in my wildest dreams, but we were very fortunate to receive some big contracts in the beginning that help get us up and going,” said Bell.

Bell is very optimistic about the continual growth for the company, and he even sees a global presence in the future, but this isn’t leading him away from the personalized service that is required.

“With this record growth, it requires us to focus heavily on internal hiring and training to make sure our operations can support our growing client needs. We always want to ensure each new client receives the same level of personalized top-notch service as our existing clients,” said Bell.
