Harold Dodd, of Newtown, proudly displays the crop of massive turnips harvested by he and his brother Ford Dodd of Union Grove. The normal size of a turnip is roughly the size of a baseball and maybe even a little larger. Ford brought the turnips in to town to sell and says they did not do anything special to make the turnips grow so large.
