According to Patti Hoover, director of PCU, Christine Boring has served Gordon Hospital as a Patient Care Technician for two years and was nominated for the award by her peers for being an outstanding patient caregiver and supportive co-worker.

“She does a great job and she truly loves and empathizes with her patients,” Hoover says. “She has an exemplary Christian attitude and is always willing to help any way she can.”

Boring attended Dalton State College and resides in Chatsworth with her husband, Marvin Boring. She has two boys, Derek Smith, 15, and Christopher Smith, 18.

“I am very thankful to all my co-workers,” Boring says. “I am very blessed and thank God for such a good place to work.”

In addition to her excellent work ethic, Boring was also nominated for the award based on her efforts at Christmas to feed a holiday meal to the homeless in Dalton.

“Her leadership and caring heart brought a lot of hospital employees together for a good cause that blessed thousands of people in need,” Hoover adds.

Although I am not a fan of Gordon Hopsital, let me just say that Christine Boring does a fabulous job. She is full of compassion and is kind and gentle with her patients. She is a blessing to all her patients.

Glad she received the award, she is very deserving. She is a special person.
