The Cave Spring Arts Festival is in its 37th year! Browse through booths offering beautiful 2 and 3 dimensional art as you walk in Rolater Park where Indians played ball before they left on the Trail of Tears, now marked beside the Park. Enjoy a variety of vendors, eat lunch, go in the Cave to gaze at ancient writing marks, take a cool dip in the purported 2nd largest "swimming hole" in Georgia, see the 2-story log Cabin that belonged to Cherokee Avery Vann before 1838, visit upscale and antique shops in Cave Spring, which boasts over 80 structures on the National Register of Historic Places. Plan a lovely day driving through the lush valleys of Northwest Georgia to Cave Spring, about 30 miles from Calhoun and about 75 miles from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Birmingham. Proceeds from the Festival go to upkeep and restoration of Cave Spring buildings. Vendors contact Rita Tidwell, 706-777-9377.
