Sierra Hull and Highway 111 Concert
Sierra Hull is a native of Byrdstown, Tenn. She became well known in bluegrass circles for her skill on guitar and mandolin at age 8 and performed on the Grand Ole Opry with Alison Krauss when she was 11. As a teenager, she joined the Great High Mountain tour with Krauss, Ralph Stanley and others. Berklee gave her the school's most prestigious award, the Presidential Scholarship, a first for a bluegrass musician. Hull released her debut album, Secrets, on Rounder Records in 2008. As a player, a singer and a songwriter, she has remarkable range and the potential to win over ears and give performances of broad cultural importance, as she's done at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the National Prayer Breakfast.
